About Stéphanie Arcadias
Stéphanie has always had a great love of music and her mother remembers her singing from a very early age. She started music school when she was 5 where she studied her normal school lessons and began to learn about music. At 8 she started to learn the double bass and spent the following 12 years studying this instrument. She went on to study at The National School of Music in Paris and today she is first and foremost a soprano opera singer and teacher of music.
She has performed many stage roles including Norina in 'Don Pasquale' by Donizetti, Amore in 'Orpheus and Eurydice' by Gluck and Frasquita in 'Carmen' by Bizet. She has appeared in various prestigious venues including the Opera de Massy, the Chateau de Versailles and the Opera Comique in Paris. In addition she has performed as a soloist in Paris, Brussels, Montpellier and Geneva.
Stéphanie teaches music to school students and also gives private singing lessons to children and adults. Her appreciation of music is wide and ranges from Renée Fleming and Pavarotti to Bjork and Madonna.
Her recent collaboration with composer Frédéric Momont and counter-tenor Thomas Otten has resulted in the album, 'The Two Voices', which was released in digital download format on 22 August 2011. The album is available to buy via digital download.
Stéphanie currently lives in France. Her hobbies include art and travelling. |
